ARTIST Daniela Branconi

“Mosaic is the manipulation of matter, it is strength, it is color, it is experimentation. It allows me to be eccentric, it represents me, it gives me joy and happiness.”.

Daniela Branconi, born in Rome, obtained a High School Diploma at the Technical Institute of Advertising Graphics and then a degree from La Sapienza University of Rome as a Rehabilitation Therapist, specializing in Neurology. She is specialized in recovery from Stroke as a Speech Therapist too.

In addition to the medical profession she simultaneously attended art courses at the Lazio Region and U.P.T.E.R. of Ceramics (2 years), Naturalistic watercolour (4 years) and Painting on fabric and glass (2 years), Eventually she landed at the C.T.P. (permanent territorial center) by attending the Mosaic school of Professor Gianfranco Romani, former teacher of mosaic at the Rebibbia Prison.

After the two years, having obtained the diploma, Daniela continued to attend the laboratory as an external frequenter.
Mosaic was for her the summary of what she had received and learned previously. “Mosaic is the manipulation of matter, it is strength, it is color, it is experimentation. It allows me to be eccentric, it represents me, it gives me joy and happiness.”.

Daniela Branconi , nata a Roma, ha conseguito il Diploma di Maturità c/o Istituto Tecnico di Grafica Pubblicitaria e poi una Laurea all’ Università La Sapienza Roma come Terapista della Riabilitazione , indirizzo Neurologico. Specializzata in recupero da Esiti da Ictus. Specializzata come Logoterapista per il recupero delle Afasie da esiti da Ictus, 30 anni di Libera professione.

Ma oltre alla professione medica ha contemporaneamente seguito corsi c/o la Regione Lazio e U.P.T.E.R. di Ceramica ( 2 anni), Acquarello naturalistico (4 anni) e Pittura su stoffa e su vetro ( 2 anni).

Alla fine è approdata al C.T.P. ( centri territoriali permanenti) frequentando la scuola di Mosaico del Professor Gianfranco Romani, già docente di mosaico presso la Casa Circondariale di Rebibbia.

Dopo il biennio, ottenuto il diploma, ho continuato a frequentare il laboratorio come frequentatrice esterna.

Il Mosaico è stato per lei il sunto di ciò che aveva ricevuto ed appreso precedentemente. Il Mosaico è manipolazione della materia, è forza, è colore, è sperimentazione. Mi permette di essere eccentrica, mi rappresenta, mi dà gioia ed allegria.
