ARTIST Fabrizia Ugo

Fabrizia Ugo was born in Muggia, Italy 1956, she worked for 30 years in a kindergarten as an educator, then for further 10 years in the library of  Muggia. She has always been drawing, for all these years, art has been her lifelong companion.

Talking about herself and her art she tells us: “In the course of my existence I have had trials to overcome, sometimes heavy and significant.
I have always had the pleasure of drawing, winning school prizes accompanied by a good teacher, now as a pensioner I have this opportunity. Sometimes I calm my feelings by reading mostly poems and historical novels. Of the dormant feelings and aspirations, I should dig a little I’m not sure of the result though, maybe I would just hurt myself …
Anyway I wrote a little bit, in dialect … I think it is important to keep the dialect and that’s why I write like this.
Just past stories, some pain and memories of my early life, of my family
In conclusion, I am a bit shy and I keep my feelings quite in silence”.

Fabrizia Ugo nasce a Muggia nel 1956
Ha lavorato per 30 anni in un asilo nido come educatrice, poi per altri 10 anni nella biblioteca del Comune di Muggia.
L’arte e il disegno l’hanno sempre accompagnata in tutti questi anni.
Parlando di se e della sua arte ci racconta: “Nel corso della mia esistenza ho avuto prove da superare, alle volte pesanti e significative.
Da sempre ho avuto il piacere di disegnare, vincendo premi scolastici accompagnata da una buona insegnante , ora da pensionata ho questa opportunità. Alle volte calmo le mie sensazioni con la lettura perlopiù poesie e romanzi storici.
Dei sentimenti sopiti e delle aspirazioni ,dovrei scavare un po’ non sono sicura del risultato forse mi farei solo male…
Comunque ho scritto un po’, in lingua dialettale…penso che sia importante mantenere il dialetto ed è per questo che scrivo così.
Solo storie passate, qualche dolore e rimembranze dei miei primi anni di vita, della mia famiglia
Concludendo sono un po’ schiva e tengo i miei sentimenti abbastanza sotto silenzio”.
