Metka Pepelnak, art professor, finished her arts studies at the Faculty of Education in Ljubljana, Slovenia (2002). She operates as an independent artist in design, painting and graphics. She has had several independent and group exhibitions and has received numerous awards at home and abroad for her work on the innovatively designed pictorial media so far.
In 2011, she received recognition from the Korea Paper Culture Open Art Competition and in 2010, 2013, 2014 and 2015, 2018, 2022 a prize at the International painting Ex-tempore in Piran, Slovenia. In 2019 a nomination for GRAND-PRIX at the International painting Ex-tempore in Piran, Slovenia. On Ammateras Annual Mini Paper Art Exhibition in Sofia 2015 she received Certificate Honorable Mention. On X. Exhibition 2016, EX- YU, Contest for Graphic, she received special prize of Association of fine Artist of Serbia. Part of her graphic included in the invitation for the Exhibition: International Biennal Paper Fibre Art 2017/2018, The National Taiwan Craft Research and Development Institute, Nantou Country, Taiwan (R.O.C.).
Her works have been exhibited so far in Austria, Australia, Brasilia, Bulgaria, Denmark, Chile, China, Croatia, Germany, Hungary, Israel, Italy, Japan, Lichtenstein, South Korea, Spain, Taiwan, Tasmania, Serbia, USA and Paris, France, where she was 2009 and 2016 attended advanced studies and have solo exhibition.
